On July 10th, a coalition of over 40 midwives, doulas, public health experts, and reproductive justice advocates convened at the Massachusetts Statehouse to advocate for the urgent passage of the critical maternal health package.
This diverse group of professionals and activists visited every Senate office, underscoring the importance of addressing the state's maternal health crisis. They highlighted the need for policies that improve access to quality care, support midwifery, and address racial and socioeconomic disparities in maternal health outcomes.
Thank you to all who attended for your support of the bill and for making sure it was prioritized by the end of the legislative session!
